I remembered he didn't want to remain as friends or rather 'not for now' when it ended.
Now, seeing the friend request surprises me. Are we making friends with each other now? Were we ever friends? Are exe(s) supposed to befriend each other? What do u expect out of this friendship?
Thinking too much again. Me the thinker. Thought too much that he even appeared in my dreams. Wanting to meet my parents in one instance, and flashing his solitaire (bigger than my 1.0x carat) and eternity ring in the other.
Am I supposed to take comfort in the fact that at least he is not like someone who refused to accept my many requests although we were really friends. Prolly did not want to be associated with me..

Ouch
I'd always have a low threshold for pain.
In school, there was once i cried when doing a blood donation. The tears just flowed when the doctor pricked a needle into my thin skin. It was in front of my crush! And when they said press again, i continued squeezing the little heart in my fist and close my eyes tightly. My friends burst out laughing and I realised that the nurse was asking me to press the little cotton ball on my punctured hand. They were already done with drawing my blood. And Yes, my crush was still there.. looking at me with eyes of wonder. Darn! So unglam haha..
Back to the topic. Had sprained my wrist lately. Heard tt Ng's had a good Sinseh who cured JW's leg injury via massage. Hmm.. a massage would be nice too even if I don't have the time for a body massage. At least I was getting one body part massage thou it was for the sprain.
The Sinseh was a man in his 40s. Told him abt my wrist and he took it and start kneading like it was a dough. For those who are not good at baking, he was practically using his wrist to rub along length of my hand. Tt really hurt. Not the sprain, but the force applied.
Hello, i'm not order Mee Hoon Kuay or Roti Prata.. don't have to prepare the dough yet. Ok, i'm not affected by him. Just need to complain about the pain hee..
Then he went to my foot. I'm like:" what does my foot have to do with this?" He said," Its very hard to understand Chinese medicine" in Mandarin. He started grabbing a few mm of my leg skin and then i saw something shiny glittering under the light. As it started to sank into my foot, i had a knee jerk reaction and Sinseh was shocked and pulled back the needle.
Ok, i unknowinly become a patient of Acupunture. The 1st poke was bearable.. but the rubbing of the skin makes me queasy. So much i contorted my face like I was pressed against a window by a bandit.
Then another needle sank on the back of my hand. Suddenly i was reminded of a movie poster of this man whose face was totally pricked with needles. Some horror show that i would not want to watch- not even the commercial.
Sinseh spotted my sore and swollen eye. Yes, he has an eagle eye. Told him i was suffering from it for the past mth! Taking medicine from Doc's clinic just a few units away.
Sinseh told me about him curing a 5 yr old girl who was plagued with swollen eye for the longest time. Before i knew it, he was making my ear queasy and stuck a needle into my ear. Then he started pulling at it like i was a bad pupil being punished by the teacher.
Ok i know nowadays, teachers are not allowed to do tt. I'm talking abt in my times. The 1980s.. where teachers get away with pulling ears of students. Calling them pigs. Stupid. And throwing their homework across the classroom.
Back to the Sinseh.. after rubbing vigourously on my ear, he emerged with cotton in his hand and showed me the color of my blood. Said it was dark red and I was too "heaty".
Warouz.. i have been drinking water! And also peanut crackers.. marsh mallows.. beancurd from supermarkets.. CNY goodies.. ok, i'm "heaty"
Following that, he pricked a few more needles in both ears and I felt as if it was some kind of exorcism. "Pls take this devil living in my left eye and send him to his doom!" *valerie chanting*
Told me to come back tmr if I need to speed up the recovery though it will still recover after today.
Yes, I will. I need to look "nice nice" on Sunday for church. Enough of wearing sunglasses in shopping centres. I wonder if onlookers were staring at me being the weirdo or at my new Chanel sunglasses.
Fast forward, and here I am at Ng's again. With thicker skin to be poked. Yes, I have psyched myself up for this. I must look nice nice on Sunday, or at least normal. And not like some froggy with bulging eyes+pus/redness.
Sinseh forgot abt me/my condition (dunno wad i was in his clinic for.. tsk tsk)and I had to remind him about my sore eye. Then he said it subsided quite a bit! Ok, i know im not memorable wo any make-up on. Thanks huh!
Did i tell u that the sales assistant at "MoonRiver" said "Ni Hen Mei" when i finished paying for the dress i bought" Yeah, in my bare face and slighly swollen eye. Pls.. i know what you're thinking.It ain't a sales pitch. She does not earn any commission and is on a fixed pay.
This time, the rubbing became more apparent. Is it cos he applied more force as I have already "warmed up" yesterday?

Infidelity

Was quite disturbed when I looked at the quiz. Anyway, some of my answers below:

Peace be with me
I love it when it comes to night time. Time seems to slow down a little. Nobody's around to fight for space, attention and I get my rare moments of peace, tranquility and solitary life.
Sometimes life's like this. Messed up. But when night falls, one seems to be able to find her own sanity. My sanity. Or at least wallow in self-pity without the presence of anyone to further mess up the mind.
Here i am, sitting in the darkness. Turning on the lights will bring me back to morbid reality. When that happens, I'll try to think of the one good thing that ever happened to me after the big M. Even if it's just one good thing. Everything will be just fine. At least it's better than in the past where you wake up wishing that you'll never wake up again.
Life's like that.
Long day today. Long day yesterday. Tired.

Steve Jobs (1955-2011)

The recent departure of Steve Jobs, co-founder and CEO has shocked the world.
At age 56, Steve Jobs lost his battle to pancreatic cancer. The same man who revolutionized our way of life with cutting edge technology that took the world by storm. The Macintosh, Iphone, Itunes, Ipad.. leaves us to wonder where Apple can go from here without its visionary leader, one of the world greatest innovator.
Steve Jobs changed our lives and our perceptions. In the past, when we see the word apple, we think of the fruit. Now, we think computers, notebooks, smartphones and the most valuable company in the world.
My facebook is flooded with tweets of friends mourning the loss of Steve Jobs. RIP they say, thank you Steve Jobs - the others ranted.
Is it only when we passed on that people realised our contributions, impact, goodness or in some cases, our mere existence?
