I'm a Pirate today!

Had been down with a swollen eye for the past month. There was once it was so swollen with two stys - it totally blocked my left eye's vision! Driving was a hazard and going out - worst still. I had to wear sunglasses even in sheltered places and once at a condo during work. People walked past and stared. As I was professionally decked in office wear at Reflections at Keppel Bay. One agent thought I was the owner of a unit there and asked the agent if I was her client. Am here again at the Eye Clinic - Jurong West. I hated my first time there as the doctor was rude and kept trying to jump to conclusions in completing my sentences. The nurses were grouchy and forgot to return my IC and even spelled and called my name wrongly. My second time here in this hateful clinic as I have decided that the swell has to go. I looked horrid at my best friend's wedding! The staff were rather nice today and the doctor spoke patiently. Maybe cos he was a sadist and was very eager to perform the surgery haha. I asked if there was anything to reduce the pain and he said it was to remove the sty. Then i told him that I was talking about reducing the pain from the cutting of the sty. Told me that he had to give me an injection. Which he eventually gave me TWO as I still felt some pain when the clippers were on my upper and lower lid to show the sty clearly. FREAKING painful - During the 1st injection, my immediate reaction was to hold the doctor's hand when he sank the needle in. He then told the nurse to hold my hand! After the 1st injection, the second one didn't feel a thing. Eventually, he squeezed out the pus and I saw him clearing lotsa blood from my eye. I had to squeeze the cotton pad to my eye to prevent it from turning blue-black. The nurse then told me to remove the pad and I saw more blood. She then cleaned the blood away and applied eye gel and drops. Total bill: $224.31 (Incision: $120) My eye was bandaged for the next 3 hours. Oh yes, I bought some Ding Tea (Honey Green Tea)before entering the eye clinic for a morale booster. Anyway, it sucks cos the cup was opaque and they put too little pearls! Hard to tell unless u burst a big hole at the top to see haha..

Avalon

My dear friend, Carolyn is getting married! Here we are at the Marina Bay Sands for her Hen's Night! She didn't want anything fancyful so we skipped the tiara and the veil. Picked up babes, Valerie Sim, Carrie and Jac and we headed to MBS. Blasted some 80s song to get into the mood. Nope, Avalon isn't playing 80s music. It's just that music from the 80s makes me happy. And brings back fond memories.. Summer Rain.. a song i always repeat sometimes from the start of the journey to the end when i drive at night. Parked at MBS. So called the most expensive CP in SG. We went at 9+ so it was already $6 per entry. We had Gong Cha before hitting Avalon! My addiction with the Bubble Tea.. Had Milk Tea with regular sweetness. Nothing less. Gong Cha is always bland compared to Koi where u only need 30% sugar level.. At Avalon. Weren't granted a table as there was a minimum 5 persons to be met. Avalon was really quiet but the ambience was nice- love the view! Just beside the isle. Walk down the isle and you'll feel like some kinda supermodel. Lol. Size was alright, not too big that you would get lost on the dancefloor. There was an upper floor, but it was small and depressing. One of the twins wanted to stay there and I was like "NOOOOO!!!" We ordered our 1st drinks. Carrie asked what they had for the drinks coupon entitlement. I was giggling. Was that a pet peeve of all bartenders? Hee.. Volka, Gin, Bourbon, Rum.. the usual la, babe! I ordered Rum-Orange, as usual. Love its sweetness. It was a ghost town intially but the crowd came in from 12am and soon it was crowded! Just the way i like it to be, not crowded till you get brushed against, or bumped into, or even shoved to the side when people walked past u. Like Mambo nights @ Zouk.. We weren't allowed to do a lot of Saboing. So Ah Sim (we called her that as not to confuse with the other Valerie-me!) and I approached two young Caucasians. Ah Sim told one of them to......... OOPS! Forgot I am not allowed to talk about it hee. Anyway it was GOOD CLEAN FUN.. and we did not carrying on with the sabotaging after that. In fact, I don't really consider that saboing. She was let off pretty easily! Anyway there weren't much people to pick from the crowd. Most people have a certain air and kinda went about doing their stuff. Ah Sim kept gushing about the cute Caucasian with the Asian girl. And said he kept looking at me! I didn't notice.. couldn't bother too these days. Anyway, this dark skinned guy approached our group to join their VIP table. I told the girls to tell him to buy us each a drink first. Just to test his reaction. Cos there was like 4 of us. Apparently he left.. HAHAHA! What a miser! Anyway his tables were filled with people Carrie believed to be from Pakistan. And the way they "dance", swaying their arms.. NO THANKS! I wouldn't want to get anyway within the radius or even diameter.. Time flies. 2am!?! WHAT?!? SO late?!? Usually i don't last beyond 1am. And already find myself home.. Love the Caucasian DJ: Joe?!? The Malay DJ that took over after him SUCKS. Music is slow and un-danceable. In previous times, i would not be able to dance if I weren't tipsy. This is me and the bride-to-be! Congrats, my dear! MUACKS! At
