Am at the Floating Platform to watch the 1st Rehearsal of NDP. I Love National Day Parades! Spied my eyes on that LIME green NDP bag but the guy refused to let us choose colours =(

So was given the Yellow & Blue (luckily Yellow is ur fav color!)

Lonely Heart

I used to lament about loneliness (singlehood) but i guess there's someone out there who is prolly more lonely than I am..

My parents r in China for a couple of days. Each time i come home, Smoky gave me a look of "Nobody loves me". And she looked particularly depressed last night so i took her for a walk..

We were at the neighbourhood when Smoky wanted to go another direction-towards the shops. I tug her in the right direction when i heard someone saying..

"She's quite stubborn eh?"

i looked up and saw this bespectacled gentleman smiling and looking at us while walking past. I said nothing (was caught by surprise)

Then he walked off, only to stop a few metres in front. Smoky & i walked along and he added:

" Do u usually walk ur dog at this time?" I was thinking.. (Valerie is not a late night owl who deprives her dog of her sleep just because she (Valerie) can't Zz)

"No..but she looked rather lonely tonight" And then we went off, hand in paw..It turned out that he was staying in the same blk as I am..

A date full of sweat

I rarely had chances to enjoy my weekends as they r usually filled with work. So, am taking this weekend off to be out in the sun. Wearing my new Purple socks for rollerblading!

The highlight of the day has to be when i tried to show off a turn, out of the road from the carpark and ended up falling in full view of everyone. Last but not lease, I love the pigging out over Japanese food..

Am at MediaCorp for my YELLOW photoshoot. The 4 of us; Richard, Teck Loon, Rac & I were selected to be on the cover of Duet Magazine, a MediaCorp magazine.

At 10am, we were interviewed on our views on relationships and dating. We had a coffee break at MediaCorp canteen following tt. The auntie called me "Mei Nu" after serving my drink and Richard started teasing me.

When i changed into my yellow attire, she commented loudly from across the canteen; "Mei Nu huan yi le ah? Heng Piao Liang oh!!!" Everyone in the canteen turned n look at me *blushed*

Love the makeup artist, Shirleen. Maybe cos she kohled my eyes pretty~ I regretted screaming at her for tieing up my hair saying it's suit the beachwear. (Valerie prefers her hair let down) Our clothes were sponsored by GANT, cleverly put together by Bernard, the designer. http://www.gant.com/www/northset.html

Bernard laughed with us during the photoshoot when it comes to clicking of the shutter. Said we didn't laugh happily enough! Haha..

2pm : Cafe Del Mar

Took the MediaCorp van to Sentosa. I got the GANT white dress. (this blog is aptly titled: Girl in the White dress) Bernard tied the back of the dress so it cascaded down my back of legs. We posed with martinis & the guys had "manlier" drinks. But Teck Loon hand was trembling after a while from holding the drink too long, he tilted it, giving my right arm a mini shower lol. And i forgot to drink my cocktail after the day-bed shots, darn..

It was fun, posing at the water bar at Del Mar, the day beds with our cocktails and the beach, even on a canoe! Everyone in Cafe Del Mar were looking at us "models" as the designer adjusted our clothing, the hairstylist spraying the bits of our hair everywhere we went as the photographer take his shots.

We changed into more casual clothes for the shots by the sea. I almost freaked out having to wear Orange, but it didn't look too bad afterall =)

Luckily the "couple" shots was done in a matter of seconds. Photographer knew tt we r only friends, din have high expections. I'm glad i didn't have to do any retakes unlike others who were told tt they are too "posed" and had frozen expressions *phew*

I got a tann now! All that blazing sun..The MediaCorp bus took us out of Sentosa where we hopped over to Vivo's Starbucks to unwind after a long day.. had my Iced Green Macha (blended). Was telling Rach tt people must be thinking that us girls r crazy to be heavily make-up. She felt tt her makeup was so thick tt it was gg to crack *giggles*
