It was said that Valentine's day originated from St. Valentine, a Roman who was martyred for refusing to give up Christianity. He died on February 14, 269 A.D., the same day that had been devoted to love lotteries. Gradually, February 14 became the date for exchanging love messages and St. Valentine became the patron saint of lovers.
Is V-day this 2009 much anticipated or much feared for you? Great if you're seeing someone! If not, round up all your friends and have a cosy private party away from the lovey-dovey crowds!
